We live alone…together…

debradujour

we live alone

together

words fall from our mouths

like dead leaves

to the ground

I start at a sound

used to silence

I sit alone

dreaming of lovers

I have known

sometimes I marvel

that you can’t see

how many men have loved me

with your body

A Moment

The ocean so tremendous

asleep in its foggy mist

the seagulls flying carelessly

content to just exist

I stood silently beholding

a scene so lovely and free

and wondered who I should thank

for that moment of ecstasy

(I WROTE THIS POEM WHEN I WAS TWELVE YEARS OF AGE…BEING A PURIST, I DECIDED NOT TO EDIT!)
